Ian Highland Band

In the early 90’s Ian’s work took him to the USA, and there he formed his own band called Highland’s Country Band. After 5 years, Ian decided to come back home to the UK, then joining a band called ‘Alaska’ for about 3 years. Ian then decided to take a long break from playing live gigs. During this time however, he fulfilled his dream of going to Nashville to record a CD on Music Row.

Backing Ian on his CD, are great names such as Asgray Burnette lead guitar, Gray Lunn on bass, Wayne Killins on Drums, Andrea Zonn Fiddle player, Mike Rojas on Piano and John Heinrich on pedal steel, with backing harmonies by Perry Coleman (Faith Hill backing vocalist) and Britt Savage (Garth Brooks backing vocalist). Many of the above will be familiar to those who buy George Strait and Vince Gill CD’S.

Ian and his band are now a top name in the british country music scene and their album track ‘Carmen’ achieved number one in the British and Irish HotDisc charts for two weeks in February 2012. Their current album track ‘Much Too Young’ made No 1 for four weeks on 28th October, 2012.

If you’re already a fan of country music, then Ian and the boys really need no introduction. Formed three years ago in 2009, they are now one of the most popular bands on the circuit today. With a repertoire of mainly classic favourites, Ian and the band have firmly impressed all fans with their own imitable style and interpretation.
