Jeff Gallant Band
Jeff Gallant grew up surrounded by country music thanks to his parents and family, who were big fans of the genre. Despite this early influence, his first band was actually a rock group called Taboo, formed in 1996, where he performed vocals and rhythm guitar while playing a mix of original songs and classic rock covers.
In 2001, Jeff moved fully into country music and formed Jeff Gallant & The Norfolk Cowboys. Their first festival performance at Pontins in Pakefield received three encores and a standing ovation, marking the start of Jeff’s career on the country music circuit.
As the band began performing across the UK, the name gradually evolved into The Jeff Gallant Band. Over the years the lineup has changed several times, but Jeff has remained the constant driving force, working with experienced musicians from the country scene.
Alongside his country work, Jeff has also performed pop and rock covers in holiday camps under the name Jib Phillips, and as part of a duo called Full Measures.
Following the pandemic, Jeff returned to performing under his own name and now offers several live formats: solo, duo, trio, or full band. In addition to performing, he also works as a guitar teacher, keeping him busier than ever in his music career.
