Paul Challinor returns to the Welshpool Music Festival this year for a truly special appearance. A familiar face to generations of festival‑goers, Paul has been part of our story from the very beginning, shaping the spirit and sound of the event in ways few performers ever could.

It was nearly 40 years ago that Paul stepped onto the stage as the very first act of the very first Welshpool Music Festival. Since then, he has performed for us more than 38 times, becoming one of the most recognisable and best‑loved artists in our history. His dedication to the festival and its audience has made him nothing short of a local legend.

This year, Paul joins us once again but with an extra‑special role. He will be closing the festival with a powerful performance of Elvis Presley’s iconic Trilogy, a moment we know will bring the crowd to its feet. It’s a fitting finale from someone who has given so much to this event over the decades.

And yes, we admit it: he may not be quite as good‑looking as Kezia… but since she’s sadly not available this year, we’re more than delighted to have Paul back where he belongs centre stage, giving us a finale to remember.
