Peter Shaw

Peter Shaw is practically part of the Welshpool Music Festival furniture – the kind you’d never throw out because it plays guitar better than you do. Originally from Lancashire, Peter is known across the UK for his standout vocals and seriously impressive guitar work.

He’s played in more bands than most people have had birthdays, including Lapwing, Southern Roots, On the Border, and of course the much‑loved Broadcaster. These days he’s revived Broadcaster with his son Sam, proving musical talent might actually be hereditary after all.

Peter has toured festivals far and wide, from Towerfest to Mule Train, winning over crowds with his trademark guitar solos and a voice that can glide from classic country to modern favourites without breaking a sweat.
