Richard Palmer
Richard, born in 1987, found his passion for music early on after being gifted a keyboard as a child. From simple Christmas carols at school to learning the recorder, violin, guitar, and eventually singing, his musical journey began with a mix of curiosity and natural talent. Alongside music, he also took part in local theatre productions, playing roles like Romeo and Leroy in Bugsy Malone. A love for Country music was sparked in his early teens thanks to some cassettes from his grandfather—leading to his first self-accompanied performance of Will The Circle Be Unbroken and eventually writing his first song Whole Life In A Shoebox at the age of 14.
By 2002, Richard was performing at Country music events across the UK and quickly built a reputation as a talented artist, earning chart success and later winning BCMA awards for Best Vocalist in 2014 and 2015. Now best known as a line dance entertainer, Richard has collected multiple accolades from the CCN, Crystal Boot, and UK Line Dance Awards. With a varied repertoire and strong stage presence, he continues to perform for a wide range of audiences while staying true to his country roots.
